Kid Friendly!
We would like to officially acknowledge all the darling kid’s that crawled into our chairs, graced our booth with wide smiles and delighted in the giant pots at our N.W. Flower and Garden show booth.
Giant bright colored pots and our illuminated “Pillow chair” attracted even the shyest kids.
The cheerful giggles and expressions of wonder brightened moods and provided welcome relief for weary feet on concrete.
Our trade show booth steadily doubled as a “Photo Booth” for kids and adults alike, who stopped to strike a pose and save the moment. Soon to be shared with family and friends I’m sure, somewhere on facebook.
Children are the perfect reminders of why we are attracted to vivid color and light. It’s in our true nature!

Urban P. Patch Self Watering Planter - How it works!
Shown here is how four 18” long absorbent wicks are inserted through holes in the bottom of the planting basin to drop into the 60 gallon water tank below. Simple capillary action draws the water up these wicks into the mat that covers the entire bottom of the planting basin when laid flat (below).
When the planting basin is filled with your potting mixture, the soil continuously acts like a sponge, absorbing the water drawn up through the wicks. This same technique of drawing water sustained many ancient civilizations for centuries. Watering from the roots up is also helps sustain the optimal growth and health of all types of plants.
It is quick and simple to fill the water tank below from the handy fill spout on the the top left of the Urban P. Patch Planter below, and the gauge on the front continually displays the water level. Overall size 24” x 48” x 30” Tall
This Urban P. Patch was planted 6 weeks ago in Seattle, and is already bursting with bounty! Tomatoes and squash are fast maturing only 10 days from the last photo!

“Wasted Space” transforms into an abundant vegetable garden!
This awkward and unusual strip between two fences is now producing a “thriving” bounty of edibles!
Oasis Urban P. Patch planters are transforming this cramped and wasted space into a bounty of fresh food. Without enough room to plant or tend a garden on the ground level, and a neighboring field filled with tall grasses and moles, this area was earlier considered useless for growing herbs and edibles.
Now with these 30” x 24” x 48” self watering raised planters, there is plenty of room to navigate the space and tend the garden. It’s also the perfect height to catch all the overhead sun. Since it’s easy to control the soil in containers, and the “roots up” watering system fosters ideal growing conditions, the garden is flourishing. The tomatoes are already twice the size of other nearby in-ground gardens, and already filled with blooms. That says a lot in Seattle this summer.
Another great benefit is that this “edibles” garden can all be watered from one place. It was planted exactly 1 month ago, and the storage beneath the plant basin is still ½ full. Vacationing in the summer is no longer an issue!
